4 million iPhone 4S terminals sold by Apple, 25 million iDevices have iOS 5

Today the Apple company announced officially that no less than 4 million iPhone 4S terminals have been sold to date both through pre-orders and after the official launch in stores. The company claims that over 25 million users have installed the new iOS 5 on their own terminals and over 20 million users have registered with iCloud. Last year, Apple sold 1.7 million iPhone 4 terminals during the launch weekend, but this year the figures have doubled and the company from Cupertino sold no less than 4 million iPhone 4S terminals, although initially very few people wanted the new device.

To date, Apple has sold 250 million iDevices and if they were all active, 10% of them would have iOS 5 already installed. The number of those who use iCloud is only 5 million less, but probably in the future the numbers will be equal. Considering that in just one week Apple sold 4 million iPhone 4S terminals, in the following months the company could sell several tens of millions of such devices and could keep its title as the largest smartphone manufacturer at global level.
