Tutorial: How to install themes for Notifications Center

In iOS 5, Apple implemented a Notifications Center in which we have listed all the notifications received from the applications installed in our iDevices. The notification center in iOS 5 has a theme designed by Apple that can only be modified with the help of a jailbreak and the Winterboard platform which it was updated yesterday to be compatible with the new iOS 5. After you have done jailbreak and you have installed Winterboard, you just need to follow the steps below to change the theme of the Notifications Center in your terminal.

  1. Download from Cydia a special theme for the iOS Notifications Center. Each theme for Notifications Center has in its title the name of the notification center developed by Apple.
  2. Open Winterboard and activate the respective theme.
  3. Open iFile on your iDevice or connect to the device's system files using a utility specially designed for this.
  4. Navigate to var/mobile/Library/Caches and save the file com.apple.SpringBoard.notificationCenterLinen to your computer. On the iDevice you can move it to a simple folder. After saving the file, delete it from the terminal.
  5. Respring your terminal using SBSettings or the Respring tweak from Cydia.

After Respring you should see a completely new theme in the Notifications Center. You can choose any theme you want, but it must be compatible with the notification center.
