iOS 5.1 – new functions for Siri and what would you like?

This week I found out that iOS 5.0.2 is in the works in the Apple labs and that it could be available in iTunes by the end of next week. At the same time, we learned that iOS 5.1 is ready for release, maybe by the end of the year, and that it will bring new functions for Siri, the personal assistant in the iPhone 4S. The rumor released this week suggested that Siri will be able to run a new set of commands spoken by users, more precisely it will be able to take a picture by simply saying a command, it will be able to record a video clip but it will be able to activate/deactivate iOS functions : Wi-Fi BlueToth, 3G, etc.

I, for one, strongly believe that Siri is moving towards the possibility of running this kind of commands and the possibility to make a respring using the assistant proves this as clearly as possible. Siri is currently only available in beta and has a limited set of available commands, but basically I think we will be able to open apps, buy apps/music, delete apps, open web pages, all using voice commands. These things were already possible in iOS 4 with the help of the tweak Voice Activator so all Apple has to do is to activate the functions in iOS 5 and in Siri. I, for one, expect a lot of new and innovative things from Siri.

What do you expect to see in iOS 5.1 for Siri?
