Video: Syria bans the use of iPhone terminals

The Syrian authorities took it in the course of yesterday Decision to prohibit the use of iPhone terminals by the population. The reason for this decision lies in the fact that Apple's terminals were used to document the atrocities to which the Syrian people were subjected by the authorities. Of course, the iPhone is not the only type of smartphone banned in Syria and it seems that all people who will be discovered using such a device could be treated as spies and subject to the local law.

It is enough for any tourist or guest visiting Syria to own an iPhone to be a spy suspect. I am in solidarity with the Syrian people. I reject the brutality and killing that the Syrian authorities are committing against the unarmed Syrian people. And because silence is participation in this crime, I declare my participation in the Syrian Sit-in on YouTube.

To protest against the measures taken by the Syrian government, Steve Jobs' father made a video clip in which he shows his support for the popular movement that has sparked violence in Syria for several months now. It seems that the Syrian authorities are afraid that the images captured by the activists with their own iPhones will not reach the attention of the international press, which has already happened several times. Their decision is very bizarre for the inhabitants of a democratic country, but the Arab world lives by different rules.
