Samsung prepares 200 million dollars for legal battles with Apple

In recent weeks, the Samsung company managed to obtain several victories against the Apple company, and this seems to have determined those in the management of the company to prepare a special fund for lawsuits against the American company. Basically, now the people from Samsung are starting to show how serious they are in protecting their products in the courts around the world and we are talking about a colossal amount dedicated only to the lawyers who will support their cases in the courts around the world. Apple recently lost to Samsung when a request to ban the sale of the Galaxy series in the US was rejected by an American judge, but the defeat comes after another in Australia where it was decided that the ban on the sale of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 should be suspended.

Now, the two companies have filed at least 30 lawsuits in nine different countries. Samsung has been spending hugely for the battle because the outcome is seen as its "destiny" to become a truly global leader in the electronics industry. Samsung CEO Choi Gee-sung said some $200 million has been set aside through next year to respond to the ongoing legal tussle with its corporate frenemy Apple.

Looking to the future, I think that the disputes between the two companies will not only prove to be extremely unproductive and will affect consumers. In the rush to launch new products, companies may give up certain functions precisely because of the idea of not exposing the product to a possible lawsuit, and here we also have something to lose. Of course nothing like that it does not help those from Samsung who, either out of ill will or in ignorance of the cause, are faced with situations that affect their credibility on the market.
