The iPhone was the most purchased smartphone of 2011 in the most important countries of Europe

iPhone the best selling smartphone in France, Germany, Spain, Italy

I told you last night that the iPhone terminal was the best-selling smartphone in the USA in 2011, but the same is confirmed for Europe, according to comScore Company. In the EU5 (France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Great Britain) the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS terminals were ranked in the first 2 places in the top 5 best-selling smartphones in the period January - December 2011 and the iPhone 4S was ranked 5 after only 2 months of availability. In the top we also find the Samsung Galaxy Ace and the Samsung Galaxy S II, but the surprising fact is that the Ace ranked better than the S II, and that says a lot about how many top smartphones Samsung sells.

Basically, Apple dominated the smartphone market in Europe, but it was not the market leader in all countries. If you look at the image below, you will notice that in general Apple occupies the second position in the top of smartphone sellers in various regions, but making a general ranking it is the best among all smartphone manufacturers. The iPhone 4 terminal was the one that helped the Apple company to have an excellent year, now it remains to be seen if the iPhone 4S will be able to do the same.
