As seen in the image above, the Wi-Fi Only version of the iPad 3 would be $80 more expensive than the iPad 2, while the Wi-Fi + 3G version would be $70 more expensive than iPad 2. Of course, we are talking about a simple rumor, but the price would increase by approximately 10% compared to the price of the current tablets available on the market.
It would not be unusual for Apple to increase the price of its devices in various countries around the world to regulate exchange rate fluctuations or to cover the costs of new taxes, but what is presented to us does not "sound" very good. The price increase presented there is high, very high considering the price of the rest of the tablets available on the market and Apple could end up in the situation of not selling so many tablets.
