Here's how resistant iPhones are, compared to other phones, at low temperatures (infographic)

Very few electronic devices are built to operate at extremely low temperatures, and Apple's iPhones are no exception. In an infographic made by those from PCWorld we present the most popular smartphones of the moment, plus a few other mobile phones, and how they hold up when subjected to low temperatures. The infographic is divided into two parts, on the right side we have the phones that stop at a certain temperature and on the left side we have the phones that start to display operating errors when they are used in a location that has a certain temperature.

For the tests, those from PCWorld went to Finland and used a system that all mobile phone sellers in Finland use to test their phones that are going to be sold there. In short, the iPhone 4S starts giving errors at -5 degrees Celsius and stops at -10 and the iPhone 4 starts showing errors at -10 degrees and stops at -20. I used both iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S at lower temperatures than those presented there and luckily I didn't even get a warning message, although I had an iPhone 3GS shut down under the same conditions, so you have to rely on your own experiences but no mobile terminal can work for long periods of time at low temperatures.
