Steve Wozniak believes that Apple could be the first company with shares worth $1000

Two days ago Apple sent invitations to journalists from all over the world at the event for the presentation of the iPad 3, an event that will take place on March 7. In the invitation, Apple revealed that the new tablet would have a Retina Display and like this one it would come without a physical Home button. The news propelled the value of the company to over 500 billion dollars and at the moment a single Apple share costs $542 on the American stock market. Asked by those from CNBC if a share of the Apple company could ever be worth $1000, Steve Wozniak (the co-founder of Apple) said that he is confident in the possibility of doing this mainly because of the way in which Apple is built.

You know, people talk about $1,000 stock price... you know, at first you want to doubt it but I actually believe that and I don't really follow stock markets. Apple is on such a winning course because it's encapsulated all of its different big products that I mentioned, they all work together so well that you are in a course that if you buy a product from another company it doesn't really do as much as one from Apple does. So Apple has a large room for growth. Apple has that much growth left because we're talking about something like Apple TV that works with all these other great, great companies and products all in the same sphere. It's not like a side project 'we're going to start a TV company'. No, we're going to start TV within the whole Apple world. Assuming that we are going to, I don't know

Wozniak sees Apple as a sum of several companies: iTunes, the Mac/iPhone/iPad/iPod divisions, etc., and believes that this business model offers Apple a lot of growth potential. He believes that Apple will launch a TV in the near future and integrate it into its ecosystem, and this will help it grow on the American stock market. Steve Wozniak sees the success of the Apple company as a success of Steve Jobs who thought of this ecosystem in which we find all the company's products, an ecosystem that produces over 100 billion dollars annually and turned Apple into one of the most popular companies on the planet globe.

Apple is the sixth company in history that managed to surpass the 500 billion dollar barrier in terms of the value of stock market capitalization.
