Functionality problems of Wi-Fi networks have a simple solution on iDevices

Whether or not you have problems with Wi-Fi networks at the moment, there is a chance like this little guide to be useful at a certain moment. What I will write below is not new, but it was brought back into discussion because some have problems to connect to Wi-Fi networks or to maintain an active Wi-Fi connection but only on iPad 3 tablets. If you fall into the category of those who encounter similar problems on iDevices then here is what you can do to ensure that the device your device will connect to Wi-Fi networks without problems, at least for a short period of time.

Method 1

In Settings>Wi-Fi press the blue arrow next to the network you are/were connected to and from the new menu select Forget Network. After pressing the button, you will reach the Wi-Fi network selection menu again and here you will have to reconnect to the network and everything should work correctly. This method involves the automatic deletion of the password that the iDevice had set for that network.

Method 2

Navigate to Settings>General>Network and choose the Reset network Settings option, then confirm the command and the iDevice will reset. Upon restart, you will have to reconnect to the Wi-Fi network you were previously connected to and I warn you that this method involves deleting the password known by the iDevice for that Wi-Fi network.

One of these methods should solve your problems, but if they persist, you should do a restore or take the device to an authorized service or to the store where you bought it.
