Splashtop allows you to run Windows 8 Metro on the iPad, I would like something like that from Apple now! (Video)

Apple's iOS has a very old and very simple interface that many find a bit boring and to be honest I'm not really that excited about it at the moment either. I say this because I saw the Splashtop application and I was extremely pleasantly impressed by everything it can do on Apple's tablet, but I am just as pleasantly impressed by Microsoft's Windows 8. The Splashtop application allows users to experience the new Metro UI of Windows 8, to play with the functions of the operating system, to run applications, to use the multitasking system, to use gestures to undertake various tasks and we are talking about a complete experience offered on a tablet produced by Apple.

Are you still controlling the Metro UI with a mouse and keyboard? Stop! You deserve a better user experience. Splashtop is the ONLY app that allows you to experience the TRUE Windows 8 Metro UI on your iPad.

Now with Splashtop, you can enjoy native Win 8 Metro touch gestures:
– Swipe from the right for the Charms menu
– Swipe from the left to switch apps
- Pull down from the top to close the app
– Swipe slowly from the left to run two apps side-by-side
– Pinch to do Semantic Zoom
– And many more gestures for you to explore!

Everything looks amazingly beautiful and you wonder how you can get your hands on the application faster, but before doing that you need to find out two things that will remind you that presentation films rarely show reality. The first thing you need to know is that the app needs a Windows 8 PC to do everything you see in the video above because it basically connects remotely to that PC and allows you to control it from a tablet. The second important thing to know is that the application now costs no less than 20€ and this is only half of the real price of the application because it costs 40€ normally and I for one strongly believe that it is not worth that much even if it brings an experience extremely interesting on the iPad tablet.

Splashtop is a beautiful dream that must be quickly forgotten because we will not see something like this natively on the iPad in the near future.
