iPad Mini could be a "nightmare" for Apple's competitors

According to an American analyst, the only question anyone can ask about the iPad Mini is when the product will be available on the market. He believes that Apple will surely launch this product, but for now it does not know when exactly we will be able to buy it in stores. Even if his statements are true or not, it is certain that an iPad tablet with a 7-inch screen would be a real "nightmare" for the Cupertino company's competitors. So far, no one has succeeded in surpassing the iPad tablet in sales, but those from Amazon have demonstrated that the market of tablets with a 7-inch screen can offer extremely many customers willing to buy a cheap tablet.

If Apple would decide to enter this market with an iPad tablet that would have a 7.85-inch screen and a maximum price of $250, then the Kindle Fire and any other similar tablets will quickly become just a sad memory. Most of those who buy a $200 tablet do so because they don't have the money for one that will offer them everything they need and choose the cheap but not very good alternative. If the iPad were available at a similar price and in the same format, then sales of the Kindle Fire tablet would drop dramatically because anyone would want a tablet designed by Apple and available at a price of "nothing".

Whether Apple will launch the product or not remains to be seen, but I think Android tablet manufacturers will have a lot to lose after such a launch.
