Samsung Galaxy S III – 9 million pre-orders from mobile phone operators and not from users

IERI (Yesterday) I told you that there was a rumor going around from which it is understood that 9 million Samsung Galaxy S III terminals have been pre-ordered globally by users. The rumor has a true source a publication from South Korea and an official representative from Samsung, so we are essentially talking about unreliable information. Although Reuters, and many other prominent websites, said that there were 9 million pre-orders for these devices, many of them did not say that those pre-orders actually came from 290 mobile operators and not from customers.

Samsung Electronics official said, "More than 290 operators from 145 countries around the world who understand that the Galaxy S3 mandaein 900 orders," he said on the 17th.

Practically mobile phone operators would have ordered these terminals, but it is not known how many of them will be sold. Operators can sell 100.000 terminals, 1 million, two million or all nine, but those pre-orders are not made by end-users but by the big mobile operators who then struggle to sell the devices. If those devices don't sell and end up back at Samsung, they will go into the loss category, but it will take a few more months to get there. Unlike the information provided by Samsung, Apple always publishes pre-orders made by users and not those made by operators. If Apple would always say how much the operators ask, then we would be talking about much more pre-orders for iDevices.

In conclusion, 290 mobile phone operators from 145 countries pre-ordered 9 million Samsung Galaxy S III terminals, but not because they already had orders from customers, but because they were convinced that they would have someone to sell them to. .
