Music Widget allows you to control the Music application directly from HomeScreen, it is available in Cydia

A few weeks ago I introduced you DashboardX, a plugin that allows us to add to the iOS LockScreen a page where we can display interesting widgets in a way similar to the one offered by the Android platform. Widgets can be developed for this DashboardX, and today I have for you one called Music Widget, and with its help you can quickly control the Music application in iOS. After installing the widget, you will see the album cover of the song you are listening to displayed in Springboard, and if you tap on it, you will see the control commands of the widget.

Compatible with iOS5 on all devices! Depends on Dashboard X. A very simple and minimalist music widget for Dashboard X. Works with the stock music app and third party music apps (Spotify, Pandora and etc) it'll work with any app that already works with the music controls in your app switcher. Scroll down for screenshots. Widget requests? Email me! Dashboard X is an awesome widget system for your device! It works with existing notification center widgets and Dashboard X specific widgets (like this one!). It lets you place them on either the home screen or your dashboard!

Music Widget only offers the possibility to start/stop a song and to go to the previous/next song, so we are talking about a simple widget, but the whole platform is just at the beginning. Music Widget is available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repo, but it ONLY works with iOS 5.
