Tim Cook took the WWDC stage this evening and announced that no less than 650.000 applications are available in the company's App Store. The number is enormous, the App Store being currently the largest application store in the world. The interesting part is that the App Store has generated no less than 30 billion downloads for the applications available in it, and here we are only talking about installations made by users, not about updates.
Apple announced that 5 billion dollars were paid to developers of applications for iOS, a suitable figure for the large number of applications. In the end, the company said that 400 million Apple IDs were created for the App Store, the figure being close to the total number of iDevices available worldwide.
