A few weeks ago I told you that Facebook managed to convince several employees/former employees of the Apple company to be joined by everything within a project that will be completed by launching a smartphone. Well, the process of hiring people who worked for Apple continues and Chris Weeldreyer is the most recent "purchase" of those from Facebook. Weeldreyer worked for 8 years as a UI Design Manager at Apple and he was basically responsible for the development of some elements of the iOS interface since Facebook thought of hiring him.
The former Apple employee is registered as an inventor on some patents that belong to Apple and specializes in industrial design, the design of the elements we interact with in the operating systems, and finally UI design. Those at Facebook are very serious about this project under development and there is a chance that next year we will see a smartphone launched by them, and the possible similarities between its operating system and iOS should not surprise us.
