The iPad accounts for 85% of the internet traffic by tablets

The tablet market is dominated by iPad holding a 68.3% market share, but in terms of surfing the Internet on tablets, the share of the Apple product is much higher. Conformable a study made by Pingdom and Statcounter, the iPad represents 85% of all global internet traffic made from tablets, Oceania being the region where the American company's product is best represented. With a market share of 65% globally and 85% in terms of internet traffic, we can conclude that many Android tablets are not used at all for internet browsing.

Analyzing the graph, we notice that the Android OS has a very small market share in Oceania, North America and Europe, and the latter areas are some of the most important of all global markets. In Asia, Africa and South America, Android is gaining ground, but not enough to match the iOS tablet in the iPad, but things can change very easily in the future. As for Windows, BlackBerry OS, or other operating systems, they are completely irrelevant in these studies, globally they gather a market share of 1.3%.
