Last night Apple updated the Apple Store application making it compatible with the new one iOS 6 which is to be published in iTunes in the near future. Although in the App Store Apple only lists compatibility with a new version of iOS, the application was already compatible with iOS 5.1.1, so the only logical explanation is that the application is now also compatible with iOS 6. It is logical for Apple to update its applications before the official launch of the new version of iOS, as other developers will make the same updates in the near future.
iOS 6 would be released a week later iPhone 5 presentation conference, so around September 19/20 we should have it available in iTunes.
