MacBook Pro Retina Display with 13-inch screen and new iMacs have started to be delivered by Apple's partners

For several months, there have been rumors that Apple is going to launch a 13-inch model of the MacBook Pro Retina Display, but also a new model of the iMac, and now we learn that the first units have already started to be delivered to the company. The DigiTimes claim that Apple's partners started delivering these products since the beginning of September, but in the case of the iMac we are not talking about the implementation of a Retina Display. Apple would have intended to launch 3 new models of the iMac, but due to the problems generated by the production of the screens, the company chose to update only the basic models, the high-end model going to remain unchanged for the time being.

Apple's upstream supply chain reportedly started mass shipping new iMac all-in-one PCs and Retina Display 13.3-inch MacBook Pros in September, according to sources from the upstream supply chain. As for the iMac, Apple originally planned to release three new models with upgraded panels and CPUs, but due to poor yields of the panels, the mass production of the high-end model, has been postponed, without any launch schedule. The other two models – targeting the mid-range and entry-level segments – saw shipment volumes from the supply chain increase in September.

The new products would be launched during this month, or during the following month, all depending on how Apple has planned its strategy for this fall. Both the new MacBook Pros and the new iMac will have new processors from the Intel Ivy Bridge series, new graphics cards, USB 2.0/3.0, and maybe new models of SSDs.
