Oppo Finder 5 – the first smartphone with 1080p resolution and 441 pixels per inch

In 2010, Apple launched the iPhone 4 and presented to the whole world the "Retina Display", a screen with a not very high resolution, but which had many pixels per inch, did not display pixelated images and had a powerful marketing engine behind it. After the release of that screen, all smartphone manufacturers rushed to design similar ones and now most smart phones have at least 300-330 pixels per inch, but no more. In front of everyone come now a smartphone from China that will have a 5-inch screen, 1920 x 1080 resolution and 441 pixels per inch.

The screen resolution is higher than any other smartphone available on the market, none has so many pixels per inch, but it remains to be seen how good the technology will be. Today, the Retina Display in the iPhone 4/4S can no longer be promoted as the only one that does not display pixelated images, its only advantage over some smartphones being the color quality. Having a smartphone like the Oppo Finder on the market, Apple will certainly seek to bring new specifications that will allow it to present its terminals as the first in a certain field, but as far as the screens are concerned, the battle regarding the resolution and pixels per inch of was lost.

It is not known who supplies these screens for Oppo, but LG Display and Samsung announced a few months ago the launch of such screens on the market.
