Apple defends iOS 6's Maps app, says it will be updated as more people use it

Apple was heavily criticized by all users for the way it works its new Maps application, and in the face of this wave of criticism the company was forced to respond. In a statement sent to those from AllThingsDigital, Apple stated that the map system in Maps will become better as more and more users use it in their daily lives, Apple probably taking data about locations from all those who perform searches. Of course, this answer is a typical one, which doesn't "heat" us at all at the moment when the application is simply useless.

Customers around the world are upgrading to iOS 6 with over 200 new features including Apple Maps, our first map service. We are excited to offer this service with innovative new features like Flyover, turn by turn navigation, and Siri integration. We launched this new map service knowing it is a major initiative and that we are just getting started with it. Maps is a cloud-based solution and the more people use it, the better it will get. We appreciate all of the customer feedback and are working hard to make the customer experience even better.

I am convinced that in a few years we will look back at these moments and say that the change was necessary, but at the moment it is a very bad omen. Unfortunately, Apple got so many things wrong in its maps that some public services were forced to warn their tourists to use physical maps if they updated to iOS 6.
