A few hours ago I told you that Pod2g hopes that in 2013 Apple will offer the possibility to customize iOS through tweaks and mods without jailbreaking. The hacker is now trying to make his wish come true with the help of Twitter and the hashtag #weWantAnOpenIOS, encouraging iDevice owners to help him convince Apple that the wish is worth fulfilling. Pod2g hopes that this hashtag will reach the top of the most used (trending topics) hashtags on Twitter and if users support it, then this could happen.
From my point of view, his initiative seems a desperate measure in the absence of the possibility to develop a solution untethered jailbreak for iOS 6 and to release it publicly now. I'm sure that Apple won't be too interested in our wishes and considering that only 10% of iDevices are jailbroken, it's hard to believe that methods like this could result in the "opening" of iOS.
