The iTunes Store and Apple accessories generate more revenue than most mobile phone manufacturers

Apple and Samsung collected almost all the profits of mobile phone manufacturers last year, but the story behind the tragedy is much bigger. Although it seems hard to believe, the iTunes Store and Apple accessories generates higher receipts than most mobile phone manufacturers, the only exception being Samsung. If you look at the image above, you will notice that in 2012 these segments of Apple's business generated almost 6 billion dollars in Q4 2012 and over 5 billion dollars in Q2/Q3, the amount being greater than the receipts generated by selling mobile phones manufactured by Nokia (Q4 only), Motorola, Sony, LG, RIM or HTC.

Of course, we are not talking about the cumulative receipts of all manufacturers, but about a separate comparison and what Apple has achieved is impressive, especially since in each fiscal quarter it managed to obtain more money than 5 of the largest mobile phone manufacturers, the Nokia company being surpassed only in Q4 2012. Considering that Apple produces more money than most mobile phone manufacturers, just with accessories and an online store, which is very popular, it is quite clear that at some point these companies will have to take drastic measures to increase their sales.
