Apple is offering some app developers a second chance to purchase a ticket to WWDC 2013

Tickets for WWDC 2013 went on sale last evening and sold out in just two minutes. this being an absolute record, difficult to beat, of those from Apple. The speed with which the tickets were sold surprised many people, but it also left quite a few developers with a bitter taste, but some are lucky enough to still buy one or more tickets for the conferences. It seems that during the sales session some developers would have received error messages trying to purchase the tickets, those from Apple noticed this and are offering them those tickets, even if initially they could not be bought.

I pick up and a nice guy tells me he's from Apple Developer Support and that they noticed that I tried to purchase a ticket today and that the transaction didn't go through. I told him that was true. I thought the next thing out of his mouth would be an apology or something – just to be nice. He then proceeds to tell me that he's got good news – a ticket has been reserved for me in my name and that I'll be receiving an email from Developer Support within 12 hours with instructions on how to purchase the pass. He thanked me for supporting the platform, etc.

Although the developers could not purchase the tickets in the two minutes of availability, they would have been reserved in the system Apple and the company had its employees call the developers for a informs them that they will be able to buy them. Many developers have confirmed this story, and for Apple it is a good sign that proves the fact that it still cares about its developers and tries to offer them optimal conditions in which to develop applications for iOS.
