Apple will not give developers the opportunity to use the fingerprint reader in applications

touch ID, or the function by which Apple allows us to use a fingerprint reader to unlock iPhone 5S or make payments through iTunes, will not be accessible to application developers. Although many would have liked the use of a fingerprint for anything to be possible in third-party applications, unfortunately those from Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), they announced that they will not provide APIs for this. Those from Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), they also didn't specify if the feature will ever be available for iDevices, so no one knows if we'll be able to use fingerprints for anything else in the future, but we can at least hope.
