The CPO of Samsung's mobile division is leaving the Korean company

Kevin Packingham, Chief Product Officer of the company's mobile division Samsung, decided to leave the position held for several years within the Korean company. Packingham was one of the very important people who helped Samsung to launch some of the most popular Galaxy terminals, proving to be the first ones good enough to compete with iPhones. Packingham was also the man who designed an important new strategy for Samsung, he convinced the Koreans to produce their own marketing campaigns for the products, saving the operators from this effort, they receive Samsung terminals for sale much more easily.

Kevin Packingham, the chief product officer for the mobile division of Samsung Electronics, who was involved in introducing several of Samsung's popular Galaxy devices, has left the company. Over his two years at Samsung Mobile, in Dallas, Mr. Packingham was instrumental in the global unveiling of the Galaxy S III smartphone, the first serious contender to Apple's iPhone last year, in terms of sales. He was involved in the negotiations that enabled Samsung to release the smartphone on all of the big American carriers, which helped the smartphone quickly gain ground.

Those from Samsung have not yet disclosed the reasons behind the departure of their CPO, but this change comes just two years after his employment for this position. It is unlikely that we will talk about any dismissal and it is much more likely that we will talk about a much more advantageous employment offer received by Kevin Packingham, and his departure will most likely be strongly felt within Samsung.
