After lawsuits filed against Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), based on the technologies used in the personal assistant Crab, those in Cupertino were acted upon recently sued by a security company that accuses it of stealing technologies implemented in the system touch ID al iPhone 5S. MAZ Encryption Technologies is the company we are talking about in this case, this being the second lawsuit filed against the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), in the last year, this being the first to have the system in sight touch ID.
Practically, the system of scanning fingerprints, recognizing them and unlocking iDevices based on this process is attacked by those from MAZ Encryption Technologies, claiming that two of their patents are infringed. Although the company may be right, the fact that it has open lawsuits with Dell, oracle, McAfee, HP, Fujitsu, Lenovo, BlackBerry, Toshiba si Microsoft based on the same two patents, it does nothing but suggest that all that is being sought is money obtained most likely without any justification.
Considering the actions of those from MAZ, it is unlikely that their claims are true, but it remains to be seen what the court that will judge this case will decide.
