WhatsApp Messenger is the most popular text messaging network on the globe, and the CEO of the company that is now part of Facebook announced last year that it would implement an extremely important function for the application dedicated to iPhone terminals. We are talking about the possibility of making VoIP calls using the WhatsApp Messenger application, the function should be implemented this year, but here it will actually reach the terminals only next year.
Present at a conference organized by a major American publication, the CEO of WhatsApp stated that the VoIP calling service is to be launched in the first three months of 2015 and not until the end of this year, as previously specified. With over 600 million monthly active users, WhatsApp Messenger it's way ahead of competing services iMessage, Skype or Viber, and things are very unlikely to change in the coming years.
WhatsApp Messenger can be installed for free in the iPhone from the App Store, but after the first year of use you will have to pay a subscription of €0.99.
