Microsoft launches the first smartphone without Nokia branding

Company Microsoft he bought Nokia during this year and although it continued to sell certain smartphones with the branding of the company created by the Finns, here in the image above we also see the first smartphone of its own. Smartphone Microsoft has the code name RM-1090 and we are talking about a dual-SIM terminal that has a 5-inch qHD screen, 3G connectivity and a price suitable for a low-end but cheap smartphone.

The dual-SIM handset has popped up at both the FCC and its Chinese equivalent, packing a 5-inch qHD display and 3G-only radios, so it's clearly a low-budget device. Still, the vertical stripe running down the back is just as we'd expected, although it's still surprising to see the Microsoft logo beneath the earpiece instead of good ol' Nokia.

Although many expected that Microsoft to keep the Nokia branding on the front under the main speaker, finally the Americans made the decision to make everything under their own branding, as you can see in the image. Although those from Microsoft have tried to produce smartphones that really compete with Apple's iPhones, in recent years this strategy has been abandoned after multiple failures to surpass the Cupertino's products.
