Why don't we have a button to turn off 3G connectivity?

For more than 2 years the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), blocked the possibility of more disable 3G connectivity for our terminals, and that without giving a clear explanation of the decision that displeases tens of millions of iDevice owners. Although carriers not affiliated with Apple show options in iOS to disable 3G separately, certified carriers do not have such options and will never have, but the fault is not only with the American company.

Using only 3G or 4G data connections users consume more internet traffic, so they buy more expensive internet options or end up paying additional amounts for the additional traffic consumed. Mobile operators are extremely excited about the prospect of earning serious sums on the backs of customers who, driven by the tide of the Internet, consume a lot of traffic, but unfortunately there are also unfortunate cases where customers can encounter unexpected costs generated by operating systems.

I'm talking of course about automatic software or app updates that are generally done in the background and generally at night, so if you leave your data connection on overnight and in the morning you have no traffic, or additional traffic, you'll know what happened. Internet issue aside, keeping the 3G connection active all the time seriously reduces battery life, especially in areas where the signal fluctuates, and here we can talk about most areas of the globe.

Apple won't be giving us the ability to turn off 3G connections anytime soon, and that's because carriers don't want it, the lack of a button to turn off data connections through Control Center being the best example.

  What do you think ?
