On January 9, 2007 Steve Jobs the presentation to the whole world of the device that would definitively change the industry of mobile terminals, the first version of iPhone. Viewed with great skepticism by many journalists, but also by some of Apple's competitors, the smartphone would enter the hands of users extremely quickly, Apple setting sales records for smartphones almost every year thanks to it.
Although iPhone 2G was to be launched only a few months later, the January presentation motivated those from Google to buy the company that develops the Android operating system. On this basis, they later developed what is now the most used operating system for mobile terminals, but not the most profitable, Apple remaining the undisputed leader for now.
