VONINO sold 150.000 tablets in Romania in 2014

VONINO

VONINO is one of the tablet manufacturers that became known on the Romanian market with very cheap products that run Android, proving to be very popular among Romanians. This popularity "translated" through a record number of sales for the company, more precisely 150.000 VONINO tablets were sold in Romania in 2014.

In a country where local manufacturers of electronic products are afraid to present sales figures, those from VONINO they do it and announce a turnover of almost 14 million euros as a result. According to them, the VONINO brand had a market share of 14% - 15% in the tablet segment, increasing by almost 50% compared to the same period of 2013.

Under the official conditions VONINO sold 150.000 tablets in Romania in one year, I'm curious if someone will divulge somewhere the number of iPad tablets sold in Romania. We all know that cheap tablets and smartphones with Android terminals are sought after in Romania due to their low price, affecting to a certain extent the sales of premium tablets such as the iPad.

Bucharest, January 12, 2015 – VONINO, one of the newest players on the tablet and smartphone market in Romania, announces that in 2014 it sold a record number of tablets: 150.000 units in the country. These devices helped the company reach a turnover of around 14 million euros in the local market.

VONINO reached a market share of 14-15% in the tablet area, increasing by approximately 10% compared to 2013. The most popular range that Romanians chose is the 7-inch Onyx, which has 3G connectivity : VONINO Onyx Z and VONINO Onyx QS. It was followed by 8-inch models from the Sirius range, equipped with 3G connectivity, and the entry-level Otis range with WiFi: VONINO Otis S, Otis HD and Otis QS.

"If in 2014 we focused on very good growth in the tablet area, although we also launched a few smart phone models, for 2015 we aim for development across the entire range of products. VONINO's local success is complemented by a busy calendar for the company in 2015 in terms of presence at European and global technology fairs. Thus, the year began with VONINO's visit to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Also on the agenda are Mobile World Congress (MWC), Sviaz, Cebit, IFA, Gitex, Eno@home, Distree and BITS.
