A former Audi and Lamborghini designer is employed by Apple

Julian Hönig

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), develops an autonomous electric car and hundreds of employees work on this project considered to be secret until last week when a multitude of details about it appeared in the press. This team includes the former head of the research and development team of Mercedes-Benz USA, but several dozen or even hundreds of experts in automobile development work in the laboratories Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),. He is probably among them Julian Hönig, a former senior designer of Audi, who for a year even worked at Lamborghini, later becoming a member of the team of designers built by Jony Ive.

Julian Hönig worked at Audi for over 7 years and at Lamborghini for 1 year, so that in 2010 he joined Apple and designed the company's products. Although he has been working for Apple for almost 5 years, Julian Hönig has a vast experience in the development of design for cars, so his presence in Apple represents a huge advantage. Even if for now we do not know what involvement he has in the project regarding the development of the electric car, it would not be difficult to believe that he could contribute to the design of a body or some interior elements with an attractive design.

The former president of General Motors warned the Apple company regarding the involvement in the development of a car, but of course few from Cupertino are afraid of the difficulty affecting such a project. Having said that, Apple seems to have people more than capable of helping it develop a car in order to launch it on the market, now it remains to be seen how long it will take until this project becomes a reality. Considering the serious resources invested by Apple in the project, it is clear that Tim Cook intends to present a car at one point or another, it remains to be seen only when he will do this or if his successor will have the opportunity to do it.
