Apple is developing a feature of Apple Maps that you will love

Apple Maps Apple

Apple Maps is the "black sheep" from the list of online services developed by the Apple company, and this is because the service has generated a very large number of problems for users all over the world. Despite this, the Apple company promised to solve the main problems of Apple Maps and to a good extent it managed to do the same. Continuing the improvements, the Apple company has been registered a series of patents that give the system the possibility to direct us only through areas where there is GSM coverage for our phones.

With the help of this function, Apple Maps can analyze the routes designed for us by corroborating them with the maps regarding the coverage of mobile phone operators, the final result being a direction only through areas with GSM coverage. The information of the operators will not be the only ones used by Apple, the American company also using the anonymous data received from people who use Apple Maps, analyzing the coverage areas according to the routes taken by the users. This system can in certain cases generate longer routes than normal, but based on them we will always be connected to the Internet during navigation.

The idea behind the system is very good, because with its help we won't have problems with the internet or phone calls, while the battery autonomy will benefit from it. In its patents, Apple explicitly talks about navigation dedicated to cars, most of them dating from 2012, when Apple gave up Google Maps. Considering that we are talking about a system detailed for now only in patents, it remains to be seen when or if this technology will reach iPhones.
