Extended Networking brings advanced settings for controlling the Internet in iOS

Extended Networking

Extended Networking is a tweak available since last night in Cydia for our iDevices, and with its help we can implement an advanced internet control system in iOS. The tweak allows controlling almost any connection, so if we want we can block access to certain web addresses directly from its settings menu.

Using Extended Networking we can prevent the opening of any type of web address we don't know, we can set a certain traffic limit for daily connections and not only that. Using the same settings menu, we can receive push notifications about the internet traffic made every day and if we want, we can even see a widget with the traffic evolution in the Notificaitons center.

Extended Networking is a tweak that allows you to control almost every outgoing and incoming connection to your device. You can block the connection to certain URLs (named "Custom Block" in preferences), that contain your given string. Custom Block is almost system wide blocker. Extended Networking comes with a Notification Center widget to monitor the cellular (EDGE, 3G, LTE) usage of your device.

Practically, Extended Networking wants to be a firewall for iOS that allows us a granular control over the way we access various web addresses from our terminals, everything being offered in a way that is as intuitive as possible. Extended Networking is available for download for $2 from Cydia's BigBoss repo.
