Samsung Galaxy Note 5 releaseSamsung Galaxy Note 5 will be released in September, together with iPhone 6S, a Samsung company manager confirming the launch period for the new product developed in South Korea. Samsung's executive vice president, Rhee In Jong, told the Korean company's investors that Samsung Pay will be released in September and not July, and the postponement of its appearance is based on a very good reason, the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

Rhee In Jong stated that Samsung Pay is to be implemented in a new top smartphone from Samsung and the only one ready for launch at that time is the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Last year Samsung presented the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 at IFA Berlin 2014 on September 4, and this year it seems that the same conference will present the future product of the Koreans.

Samsung Electronics Co. delayed the start of its mobile payment service until September, further hindering its ability to gain ground against competing services from Apple Inc. and Google Inc. Samsung Pay will debut in the US and South Korea in conjunction with the company's next high-end mobile device, Executive Vice President Rhee In Jong said during an investor call Wednesday.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 would be presented at the IFA Berlin 2015, probably together with a new Edge model, but it remains to be seen if this latter smartphone will reach the Korean offer or not. Regardless of its appearance, it is clear that Samsung intends to launch the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in the fall to compete with the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, with Apple launching its terminals in the same month.

Samsung hopes that between 15% and 20% of its smartphone users will use Samsung Pay after the launch, but everything will depend on the availability of the service on old terminals, already sold. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 would be the most powerful Samsung smartphone, but it remains to be seen what its specifications will be since Apple is also preparing a Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus.
