Apple Maps Street View vehicles are in Europe, here's where

Apple Maps Street View EuropeA few months ago, the first information appeared according to which Apple Maps cars drive around the US to record Street View images from various locations for display in Apple's map system. Many speculations have appeared on the role of these machines, but the Apple company clarifies everything in a page dedicated to them on its website, also explaining why these machines roam around the US, but also through Europe.

Apple claims that its cars visit various locations in the world to collect data that will help it improve the Apple Maps system, these data will be visible in the system as soon as they are processed by its employees.

Moreover, Apple claims that it is trying to keep users' privacy intact and avoid the well-known scandals in which Google was involved, so it will hide people's faces and car registration numbers before making Street View images available to everyone.

Apple is driving vehicles around the world to collect data which will be used to improve Apple Maps. Some of this data will be published in future Apple Maps updates. We are committed to protecting your privacy while collecting this data. For example, we will blur faces and license plates on collected images prior to publication. If you have comments or questions about this process, please contact us.

Apart from all this, the Apple company also publishes information on the locations where its cars are located, and apart from 13 locations in the US that are currently being mapped, Apple also sent cars to 5 regions in Europe.

England and Ireland are the countries where Apple cars have started the mapping process, so the British and Irish will be the first to benefit from the system, along with Americans who always have access to all the new Apple services.

It is unlikely that Apple cars will arrive too soon in Romania, but at one point or another they will arrive.
