Power Save Mode is a new tweak al Cydia which tries to offer in iOS 8 system iOS 9 Low Power Mode designed by the Apple company to provide us with up to 3 hours of additional autonomy for our iPhone, iPad or iPod Touches.
I was telling you the other day that iOS 9 Low Power Mode lowers the CPU frequency iDevices to reduce energy consumption, this being its main "magic" to provide improved autonomy for our terminals during daily use.
Power Save Mode it cannot offer such functionality, but instead it is designed to disable some functions or activate others, most of the changes being already recommended by me in various articles, the color of the battery in the status bar also being modified.
In the image above you can see the functionality offered by Power Saver Mode, which makes the following changes:
- disable the automatic change of the change, AutoBrightness;
- disabling the automatic download of applications, App Downloads;
- deactivating background application updates, Background App Refresh;
- deactivating Bluetooth when there are no devices connected to iDevices;
- disabling mobile data connections when we are connected to WiFi networks;
- increasing contrast, Increase Contrast;
- disabling GPS, Location Services, Location Services;
- activating the Reduce Motion function;
- closing the bell.
As you can see from the image, Power Saver Mode has a dedicated menu inside which we see information on battery usage, and from there you can quickly activate or deactivate everything it offers, each function can be controlled separately.
Power Saver Mode offers the possibility to control what is activated or deactivated automatically when the battery percentage reaches a certain level, but without reducing the frequency of the processor the changes do not have such a big impact and can be done manually.
