Apple has become a member of the NFC Forum

NFC ForumApple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), became a member of NFC Forum starting today, the American company sponsoring the organization and now having a seat on the board of directors that coordinates how the technology evolves NFC used all over the world.

NO ONE knows how much money the company donates Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), to have the sponsor member status of the NFC Forum, but since he has a seat on the board of directors, it is clear that he intends to impose some changes for the NFC standard.

Apple only last year implemented NFC technology in its iPhones to be able to launch Apple Pay and allow mobile payments through terminals, but everything came after years and years of ignoring the standard that was considered unsafe for use.

The principal NFC Forum claims that through its participation the Apple company will seriously contribute to the evolution of the NFC standard, the money received from Cupertino will speed up the development of new technologies that will make NFC much safer and faster for implementation in products.

We are delighted to welcome Apple to our board of directors as an NFC Forum sponsor member. The top tier of NFC Forum membership, sponsor membership, entitles an organization to a seat on the NFC Forum board of directors, the association's governing body.

In the NFC Forum, Apple will be represented by Aon Mujtaba, the director of the division that implements wireless equipment in iPhones, so it is as clear as possible that Apple wants to introduce a series of important changes for NFC in the future.

How long it will take until these changes will be possible, no one knows for now, but probably those from Apple have various plans regarding the evolution of Apple Pay, and they depend on an NFC standard that includes the technologies it needs in future.
