BMW collaboration with AppleThe new CEO of the famous car manufacturer BMW claims that he is open to a collaboration with Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), or other IT companies for the development of intelligent machines that could even be autonomous.

Harald Kruger is the name of the company's new CEO BMW and in an interview given to a German newspaper, he stated that "next generation" cars cannot be developed without the help of IT companies, but also of mobile phone operators.

He is aware of the fact that Apple is developing an autonomous electric car and claims that he could find ways to collaborate with those from Cupertino to bring it to the market, a position that the former CEO of BMW he did not share it to the same extent.

Last year Tim Cook and members of his team visited the headquarters BMW from Germany, but the discussions regarding a possible partnership were stopped because BMW did not want to become a simple supplier of technologies and components for Apple, but wanted to be a partner.

BMW's new chief executive Harald Krueger is open to exploring deeper partnerships with software and computer companies such as Apple. BMW has realized next-generation vehicles cannot be built without more input from telecoms and software experts while Apple has been studying how to make a self-driving electric car. New CEO Krueger is honing BMW's strategy.

The new CEO of BMW does not have a very different vision on how Apple and BMW should collaborate, but he is probably a bit more interested in finding a compromise solution to be able to conclude a partnership with those from Cupertino .

Apple is currently developing an autonomous electric car within a project called Project Titan, it will be presented for the first time in 2017, if the development process will take place in accordance with the current plans.
