Daimler is one of the largest car manufacturing groups, and the CEO of the company stated at the Frankfurt Motor Show that he does not want to become a Foxconn for Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),.

The statement was made after months and months of rumors that various car manufacturers could enter into partnerships with Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), to manufacture electric and autonomous cars, Apple wanting to license technologies from them and buy their parts.

In reality, the manufacturers want to be partners "with full rights" in initiatives of this kind and not just suppliers of materials and technology for those from Apple, the Daimler CEO only reiterating what he had already stated many months ago.

The statement made by the CEO of Daimler is identical to that of the former and the current CEO of the BMW group, neither of the two manufacturers having the intention of becoming only a supplier of technologies and parts for the future Apple car, both wanting more.

"What is important for us is that the brain of the car, the operating system, is not iOS or Android or someone else but it's our brain," Dieter Zetsche, the chief executive of Daimler, the maker of Mercedes vehicles, told reporters at the car show. IOS is Apple's operating system for mobile devices. "We do not plan to become the Foxconn of Apple," Mr. Zetsche said, referring to the Chinese company that manufactures iPhones.

Most of the presidents of companies present at the Frankfurt Motor Show were asked about possible collaborations with Apple or Google for the development of future cars, but most of them say that they want complex partnerships that involve the development of cars together.
