iOS 9 adoption rate has reached only 71% two weeks after the last update made by the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), within the portal dedicated to its developers, the increase during this period being only 1%.
iOS 8 lost this percentage of users in the last two weeks, a sign that in addition to the sales of iDevices with iOS 9 pre-installed, no one has switched to the new version of the operating system, even if iOS 9.2 was released last week for all iDevice owners.
Given that iOS 9 adoption rate up just 1% in the middle of December when many people buy Apple products to give them as Christmas gifts, the Apple company could have problems to support last year's sales records.
An increase of only 1% in the adoption rate of iOS 9 suggests that the number of new iDevices sold in the last 2 weeks is small, much smaller than some analysts would have expected, so it will be interesting to see what numbers of sales will be announced by Apple in January.
Although the adoption rate of iOS 9 is better than that of iOS 8, at least until now, it seems that Apple is no longer able to convince many people to buy new iDevices, or to update from iOS 8 to iOS 9 at the moment.
