Microsoft is developing its own SIM card

Microsoft SIM WindowsMicrosoft is developing its own SIM card for smartphones, as Apple developed and launched Apple SIM for iPad for now, the idea behind these cards being similar.

Microsoft has developed a SIM card that allows some users of Windows 10 devices to connect to various mobile networks without having an active subscription, a special application from the Windows Store facilitating access to them at least in the US.

The Microsoft SIM card works only in Windows 10 and for now there are no details about what it offers for users in terms of tariff plans and benefits, but these things will probably become public as soon as Microsoft's plans are finalized .

Apple created the Apple SIM for exactly the same purpose and has partnerships with some companies to offer data traffic to iPad tablet owners in various countries around the world, but the card is only sold in certain regions for now, with availability to be expanded in the future.

These cards can allow us to try the offer of any mobile phone operator without having its own card in the terminal and unfortunately it will take a few more years before all operators agree to the existence of these cards.
