iPhone 7 without audio port confirmed by an Apple partner

iPhone 7 without audio port confirmed by an Apple partner during a conference to present the financial results for Q4 2015, the confirmation being indirect, but still suggestive enough to confirm the plans of those from Cupertino regarding the future terminal.

Talk about Cirrus Logic, a company whose products have been implemented in the past in the iPhone for the functions of playing sounds through the main speaker, its CEO discussing the plans of the company he leads for the coming year.

More precisely, to begin with, the CEO of Cirrus Logic confirmed that Apple is going to implement in the iPhone 7 EarPods a microphone for canceling ambient noises, this being extremely useful for the wireless version of the EarPods.

It has been rumored for some time that Apple was going to implement this technology in the headsets offered for iPhone terminals, but now we also have an indirect confirmation of the plans from Cupertino, so we will hear phone calls better through the headsets.

There are definitely people considering putting [it] in box … any time somebody talks about adding content inside a box, inside the box it ships with the phone, you can imagine the agonizing that goes into any additional micro-penny that gets added to the box.

Separately, the CEO of Cirrus Logic also talks about Lightning headphones, saying that there are more and more manufacturers interested in making such products, a sign that everyone understands that Apple will launch a iPhone 7 without audio port, but only with a Lightning port.

The amount that we can talk about that outside of other folks who have MFi [made for iPhone] partners is relatively limited, but yeah, there's things that are up and running via the MFi program that people can take and design with today.

Separately from the partners who develop new headphones through the MFI program, Apple is developing new wireless Beats headphones and of course new wireless EarPods, so the iPhone 7 without an audio port will have a multitude of new accessories for global users.
