A new dramatic case comes today directly from India, a local young man fatally shooting himself with his father's gun while trying to take a selfie, the tragedy could have been avoided if the father had kept the gun locked in a special box, as required by local legislation.
India is responsible for 40% of global deaths involving selfies, and this case is not the first, nor will it be the last, of its kind in the country, with the fearlessness of young people sometimes pushing them to take unnecessary risks to get the perfect picture. .
In this situation, the young man from India accidentally pulled the trigger of the gun that he was trying to show to his friends on popular social networks in India, but unfortunately he forgot or maybe didn't know that he had to have the safety on before approaching with the trigger finger.
Because problems of this kind have become much bigger, those in Russia have initiated a campaign to inform children about the risks involved in taking selfies with weapons, on railway tracks or near electric cables, and campaigns of this kind should be carried out all over the world, including in Romania.
