Great Britain is developing a very interesting project that aims to give drivers the opportunity to save driver's licenses directly in Apple Wallet to get rid of the worry of having this document on them every time they travel.
The initiative was revealed yesterday by Great Britain together with a picture that demonstrates how the driver's license would be saved inside the Apple Wallet application of the users, the idea itself being extremely interesting.
Apple Wallet is now used to store information about credit cards used with Apple Pay, travel tickets, various discount coupons for stores and more, but its usefulness can be greatly expanded through initiatives of this kind by governments.
Although the idea itself is extremely good and a lot of people will be interested in taking advantage of it, the representatives of the British government have announced that for now they do not have a set date for the launch of this system, so it could take years and years until it will be implemented.
The initiative from the UK is not the first of its kind, a company from an American state announced a similar program last year, but so far nothing has been heard regarding its evolution, so it is not known when something will be completed that users to be able to use it.
