Brexit will affect Apple's sales in the UK

Brexit has already had a negative impact on the financial markets, and the pound is still at a value lower than that recorded before the referendum that decided to leave the European Union, but analysts are now starting to turn their attention to the large companies that sell a variety of products in the Great Britain.

According to some analysts of Citigroup Global Markets, the sales of iPhone terminals will decrease by up to 700.000 units due to Brexit, the figure being quite large if we think about the fact that it is a referendum and not about the competition generated by other companies .

The even worse part for the British is that the prices of many electronic products are going to increase in the next period, those from Dell increasing by 10% the prices of their own products after the value of the pound decreased by 12.4% following the announcement of the results of the referendum to leave the European Union .

Apple has not yet made any decision regarding a possible increase in the prices of its own products, but although those in Cupertino are waiting to see how the price of the British currency will evolve, if it does not increase soon, then we will definitely see an increase of 10 % – 15% of the price of Apple products in Great Britain.

We are lowering our estimates for June and September quarters given the potential for lower demand from macro uncertainty (Brexit related), currency volatility and lengthening replacement cycles.

In the long term sales of Apple products, or those of other companies, could be affected due to the fact that the value of the pound will continue to fall, while British wages will most likely remain unchanged, but it all depends on how the leaders of the kingdom they will manage the Brexit crisis.
