Testimonies regarding the low level of intelligence of those who play Pokemon GO it keeps coming, during yesterday the US authorities rescued two people who fell off the edge of a cliff while they were looking for virtual pokemons using the application launched by Niantic.
During the afternoon of yesterday, two men near the beach in Encinitas, California, managed to fall from the edge of a cliff directly onto the beach while using Pokemon GO to look for virtual pokemon, catching them being, apparently, much more important than staying alive.
According to the authorities, one of the men would have fallen from a distance of approximately 30 meters from the edge of the rock, while the second fell from a distance of approximately 16 meters, but none of them were seriously injured after of this accident, both being transferred to hospitals with moderate injuries, but without pokemons from Pokemon GO.
To get to the edge of the cliff, the two players cut a 2-meter high protective fence and ignored signs warning them about the danger they are exposed to, so everything is done as consciously as possible to collect animals from Pokemon GO that other people don't have the courage to catch because they put their lives in danger.
San Diego Lifeguards reported that someone had fallen off a cliff at E Street around 1:12 pm When the Encinitas Fire Department arrived, they found a man around 80 to 90 feet down the cliff, on the beach. Crews found a second man who was unconscious about 50 feet down the cliff.
To be completely honest, the stories are starting to get more and more ridiculous, and Pokemon GO seems to be an attempt by Niantic to show us how stupid and willing people are to kill themselves for the stupidest things, human stupidity being , of course, unlimited.
