The telephoto camera of the iPhone 7 Plus is not used all the time for pictures

iPhone 7 Plus will not use the telephoto camera for photos taken in low light conditions, the wide-angle one will be used.

Apple praised its telephoto camera 7 iPhone Plus, saying that it offers up to 2x optical zoom to record objects or people at a great distance for us. Many people are delighted with what the Apple company is promoting, but now we find out that this telephoto camera is not always used for recording pictures.

According to the senior vice president of Apple, Phil Schiller, the wide angle camera can be used in certain conditions, even if we are trying to zoom in at a great distance. In an answer given to an iPhone 7 Plus user, Schiller states that in low light conditions, the wide-angle camera will be used to record pictures.

The vice-president of Apple says that this wide-angle camera is used automatically by iOS 10 and digital zoom is done so that the best quality picture is recorded. Of course, the differences between digital and optical zoom are very large, so probably not everyone will appreciate the way the camera works so much.

The wide-angle camera of the iPhone 7 Plus has an aperture of f/1.8, while the telephoto camera has an aperture of f/2.8, so the former can capture more light when taking pictures. In this idea and considering the enormous difference between opening the cameras, it is clear why Apple chose to offer us the camera functionality in such a way.
