Apple no longer repairs iPhone 4 and MacBook Air 13 inches

The Apple company announced to its partners today that starting from October 31, 2016, it will no longer offer repairs for the iPhone 4 and MacBook Air 13 inches launched in 2010. Apple will announce everything officially, and these two products will no longer be repaired in Apple services, with some small exceptions depending on particular cases.

We are talking about products that are currently 6 years old and for which there are only a very small number of components for repairs. The decision of those from Apple is perfectly normal under these conditions and is similar to the one taken in the past for a multitude of other products launched a long time ago.

Apart from iPhone 4 and MacBook Air 13 inch 2010, the Apple company will no longer provide support for AirPort Extreme of the third generation, or Time Capsule of the 2nd generation. In general, the Apple company offers repairs for products for 5 years after launch, with the exception of California and Turkey, where they must provide support for 7 years.

After the entry into effect of these changes, no matter what problems you may have with these products, you will no longer be able to solve them at an Apple company service. All the 4 products mentioned above are morally and physically outdated, so you can't expect much support from Apple for them.
